CONFERENCE OF ASSOCIATION. DUNEDIN, March 17. The annual conference of the United Commercial Travellers’ Association commenced this morning, Mr James Brown (Dunedin), presiding over delegates from all parts. They were accorded a civic welcome, where the Deputy-Mayor (Mr Taverner!. delivered an address. The president, in his address, stated that the accumulated funds of the vari, otis branches were £70,000. The total membership was 85715. The report of the Accident 1 insurance Board shewed that to make the fund secure tliev reonired to have 50 per cent. oT the eligible members as subscribers. and hoped to reach that proport : on in the current year. The report was adopted.
