Iho new altar and roredos presented by tJie ladies of St. Mary’s Guild, will be dedicated for service by Veil. Archdeacon Julius at St. Mary's Church to-morrow, at 11 a.in. There will be no services at St. John’s in the morning. Services appropriate to the Christmas season will tie held in Trinity Presbyterian Church to-morrow. The Rev. T. Stinson will conduct both services. At the morning service, members o!‘ the lomig Worshippers’ League will receive their awards for churen attendance during the year. Prize distribution in the Sunday School will take place at 3 o’clock. Christinas carols will be sung at the close- of the evening, service. The Rev. IT. G. Goring will conduct special Christinas services at the Baptist Church to-morrow. : There will be “family worship” at II a..in., and a carol service entitled “Tlie Idylls of Bethlehem,” at (j.JO. All are welcome. The Bov. T. Wilson Potts will conduct morning and evening services at the Congregational Church on Sunday. Christmas services will be conducted by Itev. A. Begg at Mighfieid and ltoscwili to-morrow. The evening service is choral, and the Church Hymnary will bo used for the Christmas hymns. Soios, a quartette, and an anthem will be rendered. At the ’Woodlands Street Methodist Sunday School, to-morrow afternoon, at 2.-30, children, assisted by an orchestra, will render anniversary hymns, solos, and duets. The distribution of prizes will also take place during the afternoon. The Christmas services in Chalmers Church will be conducted by the Itev. P. Gladstone Hughes. The subjects will be: “The Gospel of the Incarnation,” and “Thou Hast Conquered, Of Galilean.” Special music will be> rendered bv the choir and organist, and a solo will be sung by Mr Kingston. _ . Christmas services will be held in the Methodist Churches to-morrow, and visitors to Timaru are cordially invited. Retiring collections for the South Island orphanages will be taken after most of the services; also, at Woodlands Street Sunday School, prize-giving in the afternoon. The offertory will bo tor the orphanage fund. The preachers at Bank Street Church will ho llov. C. C. Hoskin, at 11, and Rev. A. K. La wry, at G. 30.
