GENERAL ELECTIONS IN TASMANIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. .Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received May 6, 11.40 p.m. HOBART, May 6. The general elections will be held on June 3. Seventy-four candidates have been nominated, for thirty seats. The official Labour Party has thirtycandidates, and there are two unofficial Labour candidates. The remaining forty-two candidates, owing to the failure of all efforts to unite the AntiSocialist forces, are submitting themselves under a variety of names, comprising Nationalist, Tasmanian Liberal Party, and Independents.
