By 'JV'»"-rir,l._T«ro« /Vs.nrla.inr,
CHRISTCHURCH, May _6. At to-day’s meeting of the executive of the North Canterbury branch of the Fanners’ Union, the Agricultural Committee reported as follows :
“That in view of tho information obtained from the Minister of Agriculture find Departmental officers as to the result of recent negotiations with millers, the Committee recommends that members would ho wise to dispose of their wheat at the price offered— Gs Bd, 6s lOd, and 75.” Mr W. Mulholland, chairman of the Committee, in moving the adoption of the report, said he realised the wheat market was a very uncertain one. A person risking a gamble might.possibly come out on the right side, but the prospects were against the farmer making anything on holding his wheat. He would require to bang on to it for a long time, with tho chances in the world’s market against him. Tho motion was carried without dissent.
