After meetings of tlie Country Party and the Nationalist Party, tlie leaders, Mr J. Allan and Sir Alexander Peacock, formed the following Ministry, which will assume office todav :

Premier and Minister of Water Supply, Hon. J. Allan. Treasurer and Minister of Education and Labour, Sir A. J. Peacock. Chief Secretary and Minister of Health, Dr. Stanley Argyle. Minister of Lands and Immigration, Hon. A. Downward.

Minister of Agriculture and Markets, Colonel M. IV. J. Bouchier. Attorney-General, Solicitor-General and Minister of Railways, Hon. F. W. Eggleston.

Leader of the Ministry in the Legislative Council and Minister of Forests, Hon. H. F. Richardson. Minister of Public Works and Mines, Hon. G. L. Goudie. Honorary Ministers: Assembly Hons. E. J. Mackrell and .J. MacDonald: Council —Hons. W. P. Cockett and M. McGregor.

The Ministry consists of six members of the Country Party, six Nationalists, and live unattached.

The Liberals refused to use one portfolio offered them.
