' ■The figures-of the Crown Estates Department for the--first seven months .111 the year, indicate that operations will show ■ vocy substantial profits .against losses made in . the last three yearsduring the worst of the slump. Iho, outlook for copra and cocoa beans is ! most encouraging. ■ -The crops of cocoa this ’year give- -every inclination - of being well above the average. Already, for seven mouths of the year 7/5 tonshave been shipped; ■ as against Jess than 300 tons for the corresponding period last year. The authorities are seeking' new mjarkets 111 New Zealand and elsewhere. " y . Experiments' are being made witli the planting of cotton, and so far indication's are that the industry will be ! successfully established.
