REFERENCE IN HOUSE. (Special to “Herald.”) By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 2. In the course of his speech in moving the address-in-reply in the House of Commons to-day, Mr J. Bitcliener mado reference to the hydro-supply for South Canterbury. He said he believed that all the power likely to be available from Lake Coleridge would eoon be used up, and that the demand in Christchurch would overtake die supply likely to be available from Coleridge. They had in South Canterbury the largest and most abundant source of hydro-electric power at Lake Tekapo. He said the Government should either develop this great source ot energy at Tokapo, or facilitate the efforts" of the South Canterbury people to harness that readily-available source.
