GIRL MIGRANTS.
MAKING GOOD IN OVERSEAS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. (Received November 22, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 21. Miss Gladys Rotts in an interview on her return from the Dominions, said she found the vast majority of Britisu girl migrants in ’ Australia and New Zealand well contented with their lot, especially with the greater freedom, better climatic conditions and higher wages. “1 am strongly against allowing girls to go to the Dominions merely for the sake of finding a husband,” Miss Potts added, “the girl who goes with that idea is not tho type which Australia oi New Zealand wants. But the girl who is ready to work will find plenty of opportunities to marry, as Australia, has not two million more women bin men like Britain. Self-reliant girls in the Dominions have an opportunity 'Sf climbing the ladder in a much shorter time than here. Girls are not so prejudiced socially by entering domestic service in the Dominions as. m Britain.”
