REPUBLICANS’ POLITICAL MANOEUVRE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright NEW YORK, November 21. The Republicans are seeking to eaten the votes of the farmers, who are at present dissatisfied, by offering them a programme including a great canal system from Chicago to New Orleans. Central and Western farmers are now handicapped in delivering crops it Europe and the Atlantic seaboard cities. Transport will be reduced to cuethird by a waterway connecting the Mississippi with the Great Lakes.
