“A LA CARTE.” Judging by the enormous booking during the last two days, there is evidently strong support for tho Caroline Ray Improvement Fund, for which the grand, spectacular and dramatic revue “A La Carte” is being arranged. The programme arranged should grip the audience from tho rise to tho fall of tho curtain, and will give one, and all their full money’s worth in an evening’s entertainment of fun and mirth. The turns will comprise artistic items, songs, ballots, dances and comedy sketches, for which South Ca.nfcerhury’s leading artists have been drawn on. South Canterbury talent will be reinforced by Christchurch artists, under the superintendance and co-ordination of Messrs F. R. and AV. 8. AVaucbop, well known throughout New Zealand and Australia for their skill and talent ns mirtli producers. A notable figure of “A La Carte” will be tho artistic dressing which promises to surpass anything of its kind seen on the. Timaru stage for many years, while the lighting and colour schemes will run on the lines of Indian, Venetian and Spanish glimpses, each being correct in every detail. A full, well balanced orchestra, under the capable baton of) tho musical director, Air T. J. O’Connor, will complete the entertainment, and as the heaviest hookings on record have already been established, patrons should profit by the advice, and book early.
