Hie Royal Commission on awards to inventors, considered tho claim of Walton Motors, Ltd, for £609,000 on account of the Avro engines. Eleven thousand Drnggoiiilies aero ordered, only 1009 delivered and none were used in the war. Sir Gordon Ilewart said that £2,000.000 of tho taxpayers’ money was spent in a vain effort to make the Draggonlly engine practical.
