rlat feet in children is the subject of a circular being distributed tv Education Boards by tho Department. The circular points out that in ali schools there is <i percentage of children who I'.ave or who shew a tendency t<; flat feet. This is to a. certain extent a disadvantage to the on© affected in going through life. ]t is therefore considered necessary that after every assembly children should walk into school on their tip-toes. By this means the tendency to flat feet -will he counteracted, the children v.-ill hecome much more sprightly, by reason of the fact that the weight' of the body will bj earned on the Tvlls of the feet rather than en the heels.
