Coming with a fine reputation, the Company of Australian Soldiers, known ' as the "Smart Set" "Entertainers will appear here at the Theatre Royal on Monday and Tuesday nest, under the direction of Messrs J. and N. Taifc. Something much- out of the ordinary is expected in the way of bright vaudeville. Yersaidiu appear to 'oc the main object, ranging as is does from grand opera, to the latest ragtime melodies. The incidents take place in Paris at the Ttlfe Cafe de la Paix nnd in Eastern Europe. As to the individual members, it is said that no better female impersonator has yet been seen in Australia than Mr Charles Holt, who with Messrs Ralph Sawyer, and "Tiki" Carpenter hold up the charm if the feminine element. Fine comedians will bo found in Messrs, Crosby, and Fred Whitlow, while the voea.l strength of tine entertainment is mainly in the hands of Mr George Castles and Mr Jock Thompson. A great asset are the admirable harp solos of Mr Albert Torzillo. The scenery and general stage environment are of an unusually lavish description. There are no less than 26 performers, all of whom are artists of acknowledged ability- . Special interest is attached to the feminine Paris costumes worn. The Box plans will be opened at the Bristol, on Friday morning next.
