He was foreman ira Tima-ru for Messrs Skeates and Bockn.ert, the pioneers of the motor industry in N.Z., and afterwards took ever the business known v as Mes«rs Bockaert, -Ltd. He later severed lus connection with this firm and. afterwards became proprietor of a business in Geraldine. With his well-known agencies—the Cadillac, Fiat. Nash, and Briscoe cars —he has from Geraldine clone business and established a connection that has spread over all South Canterbury, and has eventually led him, in order to obtaim a, more central situation, to acquire the property and erect and equip the present fine building that lias 1 its wide entrance opposite Messrs T. and J. Thomsons', Stafford Street, right in th" the town's life. The gar-age-will give) all the conveniences for entrance, car storage and turning, oil and petrol supplies, and repairs that are to be found anywhere in New Zealand. The workshop is being fitted with a plant which is the last word in the motor repairing business), and' will enable the firm's expert to execute •promut repairs to any make of ear.
