UNDESIRABLE IMMIGRANTS. i NEW YORK, May 28. The "New 'York Times" Kingston (Jamacia) correspondent states that the Legislative Council has passed a law prohibiting immigration of undesirable, illiterate aliens. JAPAN "WILL KEEP HER WORD. NEW YORK, May 28. The "New York Sun's" Tokio correspondent reports that the Foreign Minister, Viscount Uchida, made a statement that Japan will keep her word and will return Shantung to China, and that all arrangements made to promote the mutual benefit of the two. nations will be loyally observed. THE DESTINIES OF NATIONS. ~~PARIS, May 30. Mr Wilson, in a Memorial Day speech, said there .. had been secret Councils of Nations in the past, but because the people were now in the saddle, private meetings of statesmen would no longer determine nations' destinies.
