Bullit announces, his resignation from the American delegation to the Peace Conference. He complains bitterly of _Mr Wilson's acquiescence in the decisions regarding Russia,; Shantung, Tyrol, Thrace, . Hungary, Saar and Dantzig. and the abandonment of the freedom of the seas doctrine. THE FIUME DISPUTE. PAR.IS, May 17. ! French and American efforts to bring about ail understanding between Italians and Jugo-Slavs had some success. Agreement about Fiuine is not : yet reached, but both ijountries are moving towards reconciliation.
