LONDON STREET TRAFFIC STRIKE STRIKERS GIVING IN. Over a thousand men and women discussed the question of equal payment employed on the London tubo railways lor equal work and passed a resolution in favour of an immediate strike. They will probably come out to-day. A number of women train cleaners and porters on the Great Western Railway struck, demanding equal pay for equal work. The Railway Clerks' Union threatens to' strike for recognition. The women's strike has partially disorganised the tubo traffic, four out of eight lines being affected. Tho male workers on the tubes and tho Tinion officials disapprove of tho strike. The union officials refuse to negotiate on behalf of the strikers unless they resume work. i
Tho position of *.ho London tube traffic lias improved. A large proportion of tho staff on the late shift took up duties, and traffic is expected to be normal on Monday.
