SOCIAL AT KENBINGTO'N. . A very enjoyable and successful "Gift Social" was held in Kensington Mejchodisb church on Thursday evening, Rev. J. Dennis being in frha dliiaar. TLJa CQiairmaJi lexpllained that the object of .the gathering was to provide gifts* for a stall for fche sale of work to bo held early in April to reduce the church debt. In Ithis respect the success of the gathering was beyond expectations, a large case of gifts being donated by the adults land tehiMren. Thie Toadies' Sewing Giiild came in for a fair share of appreciation for 'the work, don© during the last throw or four mon'ths, and the men were tchanked for their generous donations to the subscript ion list.
The chairman nrged all present nolo only to put forth their .best efforts, but, in addition, to enlis"o the practical sympathy of; tfheir Monds. 80, folb sure that they were going i&o have a miost successful sale in April, Bind this would help materially in reduotn'g the church debt. The anniveraairy services to be held in tho church Icomorrow .would also help in, this direction, as the collections were ,'oa go to the trust funds. Rev. S. Lawry of ChrisiDohurch is to be the preacher, special anthems will be rendered by the: ohoir, and large congregations ana expected.
