SOME VITAL QUESTIONS

OE INTEREST TO ALL COUNTRY RESIDENTS, Such is the fame of the Wizard Light nowadays, that one is continually isked "What is the AYizard Light":-' The purpose of this article is simply to, explain just what it is, and what it does. The Wizard light is a system of lighting wliieh can be used in all places where artificial light is required—in homes, hobels, halls, churches and in streets. Its undoubted claims for superiority are such that it has been quite an undertaking for the agents, New Zealand and W 7 izard Agencies Ltd., Bedford Row, Christjhurdh, to keep pace with the demand. At the present time negotiations are proceeding with private people, business people, and corporations ' everywhere, in connection with prospective installations. The principle of the Wizard light is a system whereby petrol vapour is burned mixed with air. Only three per cent vnpour is used, and 97 per cent, air, which naturally means such a phenomenal saving that no other system of lighting comes anywhere near "The Wizard" in comparative cheapness. It is computed to be but half the cost of other sys'ems. This in itself is a recommendation which business men cannot afford to overlook.

All the required by the Wizardis a petrol tank, from which hollowwire' is directed to -each light. On the light itself is a small generator, which mixes the petrol vapour with air, and creates tho light. There is thus positively ndthing to get out of order, and no possible i-isk whatever from fire. A very clever device, known only to the Wizard, is an automatic cleaning needle, by which one can prick and clean the burner without interfering I with the light in any way. ' The great feature of the Wizard light, however, is the fact that it can simply be lit with a match like ordinary city coal gas is lit. This,-in fact, is really the point which has made the> Wizard so popular.- There are otiher hollow-wiro patrol systems on the market, but these have been completely relegated to the ba<;k-ground, and tiro for ever out-of-date, on account of the fact thaib the tedious and exceedingly dangerous process of holding a flaming torch which has previously been dipped in methylated spirits has to be indulged in before a lamp can be lit. Couirtry people should not on any account confuse this old-fashioned" and dangerous practice with that of tho up-to-date easily manipulated Wizard light. The new, non-puncturable gasmantles, and tli* moth and fly proof globes are special' features of the Wizard light, which has simply fascinated all who have seen" them so far. In fact, it would really seem as though every point of advantage bias been thought out and added to the Wizard light, ana it would be. unnatural in the extreme were the agents to report anything else but the best of success in selling them. The New Zealand and Wizard Agencies Ltd., Bedford Row, Christclnirch, will instal a Wizard lamp anywhere on approval. If satisfactory, the installation can be paid for, if not, then it will be taken out at no charge whatever. All interested are asked to write at once, and the agents will send the fullest information by return mail. Local agent, G. G. Lewis, Stafford Street. "Telephone 243.
