WEDDING

CLARK—BEACH. A military wedding took place at the Roman Catholic Cathedral, Ohrjsfcchurch, on December 18, the Contracting parties being Lieutenant Archibald Clark (of the Permanent Staff, Feathsrston, aicd oldest son of Mr and Mrs W. Clark, "Old Farm," Orari), and Miss Mulvena Florence Beach, second daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Beach, Opawa, Christchurch. The bride was prettily attired in a smart grey costume, with pink hat, pink crepe-de-cihene blouse, and carried a white ivory-covered prayer book with pink streamers, on which crossed swords were embroidered in gold. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ivy Beach, as bridesmaid, who wore a white voile dress and black picture hat. The bridegroom and best man (Lieutenant Bert Miller) are both Main Body men. The breakfast was laid .at the residence of the bride's parents where the usual toasts were honoured. The couple left, amid showers of rice and confetti, by the express for Timaru, where the honeymoon was spent. The presents were many and costly, including many cheques.
