FRENCH STEAMER TORPEDOED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. AMSTERDAM, August 7. An Austrian submarine torpedoad tho steamer Berthilde, which was engaged in reviotualling French warships in the Mediterranean Sea. Twenty-five men were drowned an the commander was taken a prisoner. STANDARDISED SHIPS. FIRST TO BE COMPLETED THIS MONTH. Reuter's Telegrams. LONDON, August 7. Tn tho House of Commons Sir Leo Ciiiozza, Money stated that the first standardised ships would be completed this month. Their deadweight capacity was 8000 tons.
