ANOTHER WAR LOAN FORESHADOWED.
AUCKLAND, March 29. The fact that. a further -war loaii will be raised in the Dominion shortly was emphasised by the Hon. A. M. Myers. "There can he lit/tie doubt" fiai-d i,ne Minis, uor, ■■tuut 111 \xovi ui une fact tuat our commitments arc so heavy in regard to equipment and maintenance or troops, it w.iu be necessary to obtain authority when Parliament meets'for a further war loan. In tliis' connection I would like to point out that it is.the duty of large institutions, as well as iirms and individuals, to put aside as much as possible, so that when the new war loan prospectus is launched they will be in a position to do their duty and subscribe to the utmost limit of thenavailable resources." Asked if he could give an idea or the amount that would be'asked for Mr Myers .said: "The fact that our expenditure directly for war purposes is approximately £1,000,000 per month is, I think, sufficient indication that the sum required will be substantial. Iu anticipation therefore, everyone can do his duty by endeavouring "to place his financial resources in such a condition as to enable him to take a portion of the loan.?' .
