'Mrs D. G. Watson, of Timaru, received word yesterday that her son, Driver W. J. Watson, who has been in the thick of tho fighting on the western front since January last, has received a bullet wound in tho left shoulder. He is now in tho County of Middlesex war' Hospital, Napesbury. Driver Watson, who is not yet 20 years of agt-, "is a Timaru High School old boy, and left the literary staff of tho "Timaru Herald" to go to the war. The Rev. Canon Hamilton, Geraldine, has received word that his son, Private Hugh Hamilton,, has been wounded in France.
Relatives of Private Herbert Williams, Temuka, received a cable from Mm from London stating that ho had undrgono a serious operation, and was improving slowly. Mr William Shaw, of High Street:, received word yesterday that his son, Private "William Shaw, who left with the Seventh Reinforcements, had been wounded, and was admitted to hospital oh September 18th. Mrs Zeisler, Elizabeth Street, Timam, received word yesterday from tho Minister of Defence, that her son Lieutenant 0. Zeiskr was wounded on September 17, in France.
