The presenta.t oti was made by the Defence Minister in the presence of a parade of 5000 liv-oops, including Anzacs and senior cadets. DEATH OF A SOLDIER. Sergeant John Wood, who was on leave from Hanmer, died on the Pateena en route from Lyttelton this v.ora.ing.
