The wool market continues to display great irregularity, for all but best merinos. Crossbreds sold at yesterday's rates. "'Medium and faulty sorts were again easier and difficult to sell. Heavyweight bullocks to £l7 17s 6d, good £l4 10s to £l6 10s, medium £l2 10s to £l3 10s, light £9 10s 6d to £11; best heifers to £l4 2s 6d, good £lO to £l3 10s; medium £8 10s to £9 10s, light and aged £5 5s Gd to £6 17s 6d. Fat sheep—Of 2364 yarded a considerable number were of excellent quality and tho yarding on the wholo was an improvement on that of last week, Although there was a good demand the. extreme rates ruling at the end of last week's sale were not obtainable. Values to-day were about equal to the opening rates last week, but were Is 6d per head lower than these ruling at the close a week ago. Extra heavy weight wethers in wool 35s to 445, prime wethr ers 29s to 335, medium 25s to 28s, light 22s to 245, shorn wethers to 24s 9d; extra primo ewes to 36s 3d, prime 27s to 30s, medium 23s to 25s light 18s tc 21s. Lambs-j-86 were yarded. There was a fair demand at price.3 about equal to last week's rates. Best 18s to 22s 6d, medium 16s to 17s, light 14s to 15s. Pigs.—Tho entry consisted of 67 fat and 75 store pigs. "With the exception of heavy baconers all classes declined in value, and in many cases sales were difficult to effect at a decided reduction in price. Heavy baconers met with fair competition at prices on a par with those ruling' last week, say 60s to 70s. Light baconers at 425. to 455, and porkers at 30s to 40s were quite out of favour, and could only be sold with difficulty even at these prices.
