Maries, claim £l3 4s 3d: costs 80s. Judgment for plain&ffs was given in the following cases:— Emily Lucy Claridge (Mr Lucra) v. R. Sharp and George Ch.itt.Vj claim £2l plus costs £3 2s less £l7' paid into Court. Oauiaru Mail Co. (Mr Lucas') v. D. Ellis., claim £2 •,-costs 10s. Dolphin and "Co- (Mr Fitch) v. P. Richards, claim £1 ss; costs ss: same v. John Maries-, claim £5 os, costs £1 3s Cd : same v. W. Galbraith."claim £6. costs £1 12s 6d. BY-LAW CASES. For riding bicycles at night -without lights Robert Rlcftnolds, who gave his age as 17,' was convicted without fine: Gt-orge Kennedy and Benjainin Quimi. who did not appear, wore each fined 10s and ccsts. James Fxlward Fitzgerald (Mr Fitch) was convicted and discharged":- and Stanley "Weeks, aged 18 (who said it was hroad moonlight and he didn't think a light .was necessary; was let off with a formal conviction. Fitzgerald was also charged with riding a motor cycle at excessive speed and was fined os and costs. t DRUNKENNESS. A licensed taxi-driver; for whom Mr Lucas appeared, oleaded guilty .o a charge of he'ng drunk en 29th June. whilst in charge of a err and was fined 10s and 7s costs. Another young man. a first offender in drunkenness, was fined 10s and costs. ILLEGAL POISON LAYING. An old man named Ben "Williams, who resides in Parsonage Road, was charged with laying poison within three" chains of a. public road, ami was convicted and discharged, with a warning. JUVENILE COURT. In the .Juvenile Court a girl age.l 1G Mas charged with the thoft of leaves of bread loft at a neighbour's doors by bakers. She was admonished and discharged.
