YESTERDAY'S SITTING. (Per Press Association.) -WELLINGTON. July 14. The House met at 2.30 p.m. NEW BILLS. The Hon. Mr Fisher gave notice to introduce a Customs Amendment Bill, and Mr Payne moved for leave to introduce a "Workers' Right to Work Bill, and a Mortgage of Chattels Security foreclosure Prevention Bill, and they were read a iirst time. Mr Hunan introduced an Election of Ministers, Bill. SECOND READINGS. The Hon. Mr Fisher moved the second reading of the Municipal Elections and Polls Bill. Some objections were made to certain provisions, and Mr Fisher said he did not intend to proceed -with it until tho Municipal Conlerenoe Jia<l dealt with it.—The second reading was agreed to. The JV?inic- moved tho second reading nil -nie Fr.ilt Industry Bill, authorising the giving of further assistance to tile fruit glowing industry. Sir J. (-•. Ward and :i nunilier of Members supported the Bill, and the second reading was carried. The lieu. IMi\ Fisher moved the second reading ->'; the Harbours Act. Amendment Hill and this was agreed to. The llouso rose at 11.30 n.iu.
