HARVEST THANKSGIVING.

Tiie church was decorated with various fruits, vegetables, and flowers, all signifying thac a bountiful harvest had been reaped from the fields. Harvest thanksgiving services were conducted in the \Voodlands Street Methodist Church yesterday by the Rev. .T. .Stinson at 11.a.m., the subject of discourse being "Lessons fr.T .1 the Cornfield," and by the Rev. ,7. Featherston at 6.30, when, the'subject was "A Basket of Summer Fruit"(Amos 8, 2). Large congregations gathered at each service, and the ser■m9M- were . .eminently appropriate to the occasion. The church was tastefully decorated, and a large quantity of produce was well displayed. Special anthems were sung at* each' sei-v vice, by a large choir under the ™nductorship of Mr F. Matthews. Mr C. S. Ha-nckey and Miss Rose Addison presided at the organ, for the morning and evening services respectively. .\ solo was nicely rendered after '.lie evening, sermon by Miss Skimvorth. A harvest thanksgiving and farewell ; concert _to the Rev. Fentlierston and family is beinst held on Tuesdav evening at 7.30 o'clock.'
