Mr Ramsay Macdonald was addressing the Labour Party in the Memorial Hall when suffragettes took charge of the meeting for an hour. They called Mr Macdonald a traitor. There were many free fighta before they were ejected. The women fought with great violence, chairs being hurled and sticks used, and glass doors and windows were smashed.
