MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. . A meeting of the management committee was held last evening. Present: Messrs E. Smith (chairman), J. E. Anderson, F. Coe, Wi Wotten. F. Palliser, S. Woods, and J. H. Wallace (se-retary).- " Letters were, received from Canterbury Hockey Association advising they would be unable to send a. team to Tim am' this year.—Received. D.FI._ School, Temuka, "asking for particulars of the tournament. —Already supplied by secretary. From F. D. Maurice, Waimate, suggesting S.C send up a ladies' team to play the combined teams of Oanrnru and' Waimate.—lt was decided to send a rep. ladies' team as suggested, on either the 4th or 11th September. It was also decided to play a match South Canterbury ladies" v. Oamaru on the Timaru Park grounds on 21st inst. TOURNAMENT. The following stewards- wore appointed:— Field, Mr E. Smith; blackboard, Mr H. Fleck: time-keepers, Messrs F. Watson, J. O'Leary. L. Miller, and A. Schnack. Four grounds will be available on the Athletic • Grounds. AH cups and trophies belongi'iiK to the Association are now being collected, and the Association are having the winner?' names engraved thereon! A sub-oommittee was set up to purchase the medals. ST.
