Charles Thomas to be tried for sotting lire to three wheat stacks at JMorven, valued at £7O. A LIBEL CASE Peter liowker' (Mr Jiuislie) v. "Tim.irii Post" New.spapor Compimy (Mr Kolleston), ii elaim for £2OO on the grounds that on October 14' th, 1010, the defendants falsely and maliciously published the following .statement: — "As Peter Bowker is no longer in my employ, he lias no authority to fece.vo goods in my .11:111:0 and* I wish to warn all tradespeonie of Timaru to give no credit to Peter Bowker, late of Hastings. A. Georges." Plaintiff claims (I) tluit tlio statement meant that no was dishonest; C>) that he was 110 c to be entrusted with credit; (3) by re.isoji of tho notice, the nlaintiff lias been injured in his- business, credit-and reputation, and lias sulfered damage, IX CHAMBERS'. Messrs Perry, I'erry and Kinneruey will move a motion for direction as to service in the ease of Hardcastlo v. Hardcastle, in divorce. In tbo matter of the will of Isabella MeKne Rooney, deceased, Mr R. Kennedy (Ashburton) will move a motion of application for commission.
