MEETINGS & BUSINESS NOTICES.
An important meeting of tho Poultry Society will bo held on Friday evening in Hutchison's rooms. . A full attendance of members is specially requested. Mr J. E. Latimer announces in this issuo that ho has acquired tho proprietorship of the City billiard rooms. Tho room 3 aro very centrally situated, and the- tables have an enviable reputation for _ good games. It is Mr Latimer's intention to conduct the saloon on the most approved lines, and visitors are assured of a quiet game of billiards.
Tho prize schedule of tho annual show of the South Canterburv Poullrv Society, to be- held in Olympia. Hail on Friday and Saturday, June 23rd and 21th, shows that al classes of fanciers have been catered for, and given the large number of entries tho very complete schedule merits. tho- show should bo a complete success. Tn connection with the show there will bo held the South Island Wvandotto Club's championships. and also the South Island Poultry Association's championship for Lani-shaiis. UamOld English and fiiodern Game. Plvmouth Rocks, ducks and bantams.
