THE CORONATION.

THE PROCESSION ROUTE. Enthusiasm in the Coronation celebrations continues as strongly as ever, and latest reports show tha the festivities will be of an elaborate and complete character. Last evening, there were nineteen gentlemen resent at the Day Procession Committee meeting, Mr J. A. Valentine presiding. The secretary reported that townsfolk were giving himi excellent encouragement, the majority of the more important firms having agreed to take part in the procession. There would bo' several tableaux, most of the lodges were taking part, and also, as bodies, the blacksmiths, grocers and butchers.

The Route Sub-committee Suggested the following route: —Start as Drill Shed, along King Street, into William Street, down Rose Street, into Brown Street, along the Belt, into Theodocia Street, down Arthur Street into Perth Street, up Sophia Street to the Melville Hotel into Stafford Street and back to Drill Shed, where the procession would disband. ■ The report was adopted', the committee reserving the right to alter the route, if necessary. It was resolved that the General Committee be asked to allot the Procession Committee £5 53 to provide prizes for the best displays in the procession. THE POST OFFICE. The Postal Department informed Mr Craigi-e" while he was .in Wellington, that, on Coronation night, the Post Office building would be illuminated.
