NEW YORK, Feb. 5. Farmers' organisations with a membership of a million, are opposing reciprocity. They are organising a deputation to the Government demanding that Congress shall reject the measure. The leaders declare that all the advantages are on tho side of Canada. President Taft is planning a speechmaking campaign in tho large centres of "population, in the hopo of influencing the Senate in favour of the Reciprocity Bill, which is making slow progress before the Committee of Ways and Means. _,.. L CANADA AND THE STATES. LONDON, Feb. 4. A correspondent of the "Times," in an article denying that the reciprocity agreement will render preference impossible by making Canada and the United States one'wheat market, describes how tho wheat trade is conducted.. He argues that there needbo no difficulty in distinguishing Canadian from American wheat. BUSINESS MEN OBJECT. VANCOUVER,, Feb. 4. Commercial bodies throughout Canada are making representations to Parliament, demanding that the Reciprocity Agreement with the United States be not. ratified.
