Drexel, a millionaire clubman of Pittsburg, has been declared the winner of the aviation speed contest. He made the American altitude record—7los feet. Received midnight, Oct. 26th. The "Daily Mail's" Paris correspondent states that for the benefit of aviators, whitewashed figures sixty feet square, the first figure showing the distance north or south of Paris" the second figure showing the difference east or west of the Paris meredian, are being established in every village between Paris and Chalons.
