HUNTING.

The itunt at AA'inchester which, took place on Monday was most successlul from all joints of view. The day was perfect, the scent very fair, and the going excellent. Moreover tho iield was a splendidly mounted one and gap makers were consx>icuous by their absence, -so those whose country was crossed had little to complain of, not that much complaint would, in any case, be likely to come from sportsmen of the type of those whose country was hunted over. Although there was only one kill in the course of tho day, this conveys a poor idea of the sport experienced, as there were several most excellent runs, and both horses and riders must have been well satisfied when the day closed. The whole field was most generously entertained at lunch by Mr Sinclair Thompson, who is a well-known supporter of the "Snort of Kings."
