SHOCKING MURDER.

BARMAID SHOT DEAD. (Press Aaaoda.tion-By Telegraph-Copyright Received 10.30 p.m., March loth. SYDNEY, March 15. A harmaid named Stark, employed at the Cafe Italien, Bond Street, was shot dead this afternoon. A man calling himself Walter Lovett entered the bar and fired shot after shot at the woman, who fell bleeding from several wounds. I/ovett then turned the revolver on himself and inflicted a minor wound. Stark died almost immediately, exclaiming " Look after my girl." Lovett told tho proprietor on Saturday that Stark was hi 3 wife. Stark had her left eye completely blown out, had two terrible wounds on her head, and two others on her body. The murderer stated that he is a •rnrrvnereial traveller, °,nd had been drinking heavily.
