ALLEGATIONS OF BRIBERY; CORRUPTION FUNDS. (Prees Aa»cdation-Bj- Telegraph-Copyright NEW YORK, Feb. 28. A sensational trial of a politician named Allds, a leading Republican of New York, is proceeding. A State Senator accused Allds of receiving a bribe in 1901. • Senator Conger, of the American Bridge Company, affirms that bills for regulating trams, telephones, and railways are frequently introduced for blackmailing purposes and that tho Conger Companies maintained special corruption funds. The accusation of Allds was due to the Bridge Bill being finally enacted. Frank Conger, the Senator's brother, paid £I2OO to Allds and other legislators.
