HEAVY RAIN IN FRANCE. THE SEINE AGAIN RISING. SPreas Aaaocaation-By Telegraph-Copyright PA HIS, Feb. 27. Torrential rains have fallen in Paris for two days, end the Seine is rising a foot daily. The vault of Notre Dame, where sixteen Archbishops are buried, is still inundated. The gale tore up a number of trees. There is terrible weather on the coast. SERIOUS INUNDATION. Received 9.30 p.m., Feb. 28th. BRUSSELS, Feb. 28. There is a serious inundation from Dinant to Namur. The factories in Manchieuna are flooded and 6000 persons rendered idle. . - j DROUGHT BROKEN UP. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, Feb. 28. The drought in Southland has broken. Rain set in at 9 o'clock on Friday night and has continued steadily ever since over the whole district.
