ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 9. Henry John Morgan, a middle-aged married man, attempted suicide by taking poison. He was admitted to the hospital in a precarious condition. WOMAN BURNED. INVERCARGILL, Nov. 9. .•Mrs J. Smith, a resident of Woodlands, died in the hospital this morning from burns sustained last week. While working at the rang© in the kitchen she slipped and capsized a kettle of boiling water over her body.
