Pei - Press Association. ALLEGED ASSAULT. THAMES. Oct. 21. It is alleged that a mail and a woman were brutally assaulted at Ncavesville. Both have been brought to the Thames hospital. It is stated that some men went to the house, knocked the man about and attempted to outrage the woman. The latter was severely handled and rendered insensible. Two men named Mark Richards and AVm. miners, have beon arrested.
A DISTINGUISHED GUEST. WELLINGTON, Oct. 21. Sir Albert Spicer who arrived from the south. was the guest of the Prime Minister at . luncheon. Tho Hon. G Fowlds and Mrs Fowlds gave a reception this afternoon* in honour of Sir Albert. About .400 guests wero present. Sir Albert Spicer leaves tomorrow for Rotorua,
