By a fire in the •■ nursery-of a sevcn-toon-roomed house, at. Sumner, this morning, damn go estimated at ' £2OO was done. The outbreak was. .caused !>y clothes airing in front of the fire getting alight. Fortunately tfce infant had heen removed from the nursery to an adjoining room when the parents went downstairs . for breakfast. The house was owned and occupied by Mr Norman Dalston, 'the building was insured for £9OO and tho .contents for ,£fWO in the Boyal Office. , COTTAGE DESTROYED. Yesterday morning, about 3 o'clock, a lire broke out in a house in Regent street, occupied by Mr Arch. Campbell. The house, together with its contents, was. destroyed, Mr Campbell and bis family just escaping in time to avert bodily injury from the flames, and neighbours very kindlv took them in. flow the fire originated is a mystery. The alarm was given from the Sa'ndiotown fire station, but this bell was ringing for nearly a quarter of an hour before there was any ahirm at the main station, and as « -«sult the (Ve had if)o strong .a hold when the brigade arrived to enable them to save anything.
