ANNUAL CONFERENCE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August r>. The Agricultural Conference carried resolutions as follows: That the Government be asked to invite schemes for a better system of ear-marking sheep. That it he a recommendation to the Education Department that rudimentary agriculture be a compulsory subject in the curriculum of the schools.s That the. policy of ; withholding from native owners the opportunity of either occupying their lands under the, same conditions as European, or disposing of them, is detrimental to the settlement of the country. That the Government he requested to more stringently enforce the conditions of the Sheep-dipping' Act.
