FOOTBALL.
The Pirates Football Club are remiiided that a practice "will be held in the .Stope" stables to-night, when all players of all grades are especially requested to be present. Also a practice will be held -on the No. 2 Athletic ground on Thursday at 2.30. A meeting of the South Canterbury Referees' Association will he held in Hutchison's rooms at 8 o'clock to-mor-row evening, to transact' important business. . .'
