Per Press Associatioa. AYELLdNUIOA, Feb, 25. A supplementary Uazette issued this afternoon gives tue complete agricultural statistics for the year. The principal figures are: —\\ heat, \ 1908-9, tor threshing 252,391 acres; 1907.-8, 193,031, increase, 59,30U; for .chaffing, 838 and 858, decrease 2U. Oats, for tlireshr ing 407,037, and 386,890, 'increase 20,147 ■; for chaffiing, 33y,683 and 294,638, increase 45,045. Barley, for threshing 48,853 and 36,177, increase 12,676; for feeding down, 3713 and 5058, decrease 1345. The following are the results for the year for all crops with a comparison of the areas sown the previous year — "Wheat, 1907-8, 193.889 acres, 1908-9, 253.229. acres. Oats, 681,528 and 746,720'. Barley, 41,235 and 52,566. Rape, 4339 and 6709; maize, 10,967 and 14,093. Beans 1172 and 1292. Vetches or tares, 234 and 397. Other ,crops 505 and 1203. Potatoes, 27,154 and 30,039. Mangolds, 9242 and 11,849. Rape 163,704 and 220,240. Carrots, 1974 and 2043. Sown grasses, 8,170,072 and 8.868,205. Fallow land, 49,272 and 52,150. Private gardens, 14.442 and 14,622. Market gardens, 4162 and 4733. Orchards, 27,623 and 28,554. Vineyards, 621 and 663. In respect to the following crops decreases have been 8, 8998 acres; 1908-9, 7399 acres. Linseed, 508 and 413. Hops, 865 and 688. Turnips, 549,209 and 530,636. Beet, 481 and 411. Other green crops, 13,578 and 10,703. Sown grasses, 4,958,233 and 4,755,323. Native grasses, 22.562,348 and 22.524,406. The following shows the number of stork in the Dominion —Horses, 1908-9, 303.778; 1907-8, 353,257, increase 10.521. Catt1e—1,773,326 and 1.816,299. decrease 42,973.
