SHOOTING.
TIMARU CITY RIFLES
The Timaru-City Rifles finished their shooting season last Saturday evening witli a match, at 700 yards for trophies given by Messrs James Craigie, G. Watts, and D. McDonald. A tricky wind blowing from the south upset most of the crack shots and spoiled some otherwise good scores. The following are the highest scores: — 700 hp. Tl. Pte. W. Smallridge 35 6 41
Pte. R. Miller 37 3 40 P&. B. Cairns 30 9 39 Pte. W. Jones 38 The above match concluded the 6th aggregate for trophies presented by the Company and Mr. D. Mahoney.
