AMUSEMENTS.

MASKELYNE AND DEYAXT. Lovers of a . good wholesome entertainment, and one that is thoroughly interesting as well, will be glad to hear that the talented company of performers travelling under the aegis of the world-fumed Maskelyne and I>evaut, will show in the Theatre Royal this evening. At its last visit here the company met with an enthusiastic reception, and all the clever items which constituted the programme, will be excelled in the programme that is to be presented to-night. Marvellous illusions, feats of legerdemain, equilibristic wonders, by the magicians of the company, and last, but not least, the exquisite tooling of the only Barclay Gammon, should provide an evening's amusement that should be seen by" all. ADA CROSSLEY. There was a rush for the sale of the reserved seats for Ada Crossley's concert at the Theatre Koyal on Friday next, and in' less than an hour more than half of the dress circle seats were taken. The sale continued strong during the day and a packed house is assured. Madame Crossley's tour through the Dominion has been a series of triumphs, and everywhere the capacity of the concert halls was tested to the titmost. Her company, that brilliant bunch of artists accompanying her, has come in for a good deal of praise so well and deservedly bestowed, and all should be glad to welcome them. With the exception of Mr Whittle, who has been replaced by Herr Benuo Scherek, the personality of the party remains the same.
