In several instances in; the Feilding district the wool clip is' much larger than was anticipated. In one case a runholder shore 200 less sheep, hut obtained more -wool. Sheep farmers are crediting this desirable state of things to the 'mildness of last winter. The export of wool and stock;from Feilding promises to bo a record, j SOUTHLAND WOOL SALES. INVERCARGIIiL, Jan. 19. For the second Invereargill wool sale to-morrow 10,137 bales have been catalogued. The quality and condition aro generally better than tile wool offered at the January sale last year, though buyers complain of a- falling off as compared with the wool of a few years' back.

The only'offerings in the market during the last few days have been of grass seed, lint it was either light or off colour. ; Until the new grain comes forward 1 , it does not ap-' pear as if there will be any business doing unless millers rim short of stocks, as the wheat harvest will be delayed longer than was anticipated.
