WATERSIDE WORKERS LON- - FERENCE. Per Prera Association. WELLINGTON, July 5. Yesterday, at the W,ilui-ide workers' conference, it wat, resolved to urge upon the Minister of Marine and Labour that all harbour boards, shall supp.y adequate accommodation with baths and lockers for the muubeis of all waterside workers unions. The conference passed a vote of thanks to the Wellington and Lyttelton Boards for the efforts they wvro in.king towards providing bathing accommodation and lockers for waterside workers and urging upon them the necessity of the early completion of these works. It wais decided to urge upon the Government that provision be made for the representation of all Waterside AVorkcrs' Unions on Harbour Hoards. The enforcement of the Government regulation of th; j ri/.e of grain, sacks was Tirged upon the Government by the conference. Mr C-:nham (Auckland) said Maoris had been sending to Auckland f-ai-k.i with 400!bs of maize. Mr Voyce (Lyttelton) complained that bags containing 2431bs were shipped but a sack of •2<;oll*v should be the maximum weight. It was decided to thank and congratulate the Government on bringing in regula'ions to reduce the size of grain sacks.
