Press Association-Bv-. -Teletrraph-Copvright LONDON, May 20. Wool. —The 'market iv animaK-'i and firm, and the prices of most sorts are equal i<> the March rates. Ai the tallow auctions 1565 casks were offered, and 812 sold, at- an occasional decline of 3d per cwt. At the wool sales the Waimamt clip realised 7d. Silver, 2s per oz. MELBOURNE, May 21. For hides the market is brink, and prices are firm. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report under date London, May 20th:—"Since our lasttelegram tallow in general is at par to 5 per cent lower. The decline is chiefly on beef and mixed tallow of good colour." The New Zaland Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cable message from their London house regarding the current series of wool sales :—" As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are about 10 per cent, lower for crossbred slipe; about 5 per cent, lower for merino medium and inferior; about 5 per cent, higher for crossbred coarse and medium crossbred: good merino par."
